The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka People's Front Sagara Kariyawasam says that no final decision has been taken as to who will be appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Basil Rajapaksa.
Sri Lanka People's Front National List MP Basil Rajapaksa resigned from his ministry post at a special media briefing today (June 9).
Meanwhile, sources say that businessman Dhammika Perera has become a member of the Sri Lanka People's Front on the evening of June 7.
Accordingly, he is scheduled to enter Parliament as a National List Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka People's Front and will be sworn in as a Minister in the future, the sources said.
