Minister Kanchana meets another to buy oil for Sri Lanka

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has met with the Deputy Director General of the Qatar Development Fund to discuss fuel purchases in Sri Lanka.

Posting a note on his Twitter account, the Minister said that the loan facilities available for the supply of petroleum and gas were discussed there.

The Minister further stated that funds have been allocated for medical supplies and that the request for a loan facility will be considered in support of the International Monetary Fund's program.

Earlier, Kanchana Wijesekera had met with the Minister of State for Energy and the Chairman of the Qatar Energy Company.
