New hope for gas

A ship carrying 3,900 metric tons of gas arrived in Sri Lanka today (June 8), Litro said.

The company said it planned to pay the remaining $ 2.5 million today for the gas stockpile and that it would be unloading accordingly.

The company said it would continue to supply gas for another six days.

Meanwhile, Litro Gas said yesterday (June 7) that it would not be distributing gas today (June 8).

Yesterday, the company had taken steps to distribute gas in the Western Province only as a matter of urgency.
