Residents of the Dickoya area and a group of Hatton Police officers have rescued a mother of two who was stranded on a rock after the water flowed into the Castlereagh Reservoir.
A mother of two from the Dickoya Estate in Hatton woke up this morning when she was crossing the Dickoya Canal when she was crossing the Dickoya Canal to go to her son's house at the Dickoya Vanaraja Estate. That the mother had been saved.
Hatton police later went to her home and handed her over.
Hatton police say information has emerged that she is suffering from a mental illness.
