Ranil turns to Russia to resolve fuel crisis


Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that due to the severe fuel crisis in the country, it may be necessary to obtain more oil from Russia.


The prime minister has said he will look into other options first but is looking to buy more crude from Moscow.


He made this statement in an interview with AP News.


The Prime Minister has stated that despite the rising debt burden, he expects to receive more financial assistance from China.


The Prime Minister has stated that the Russian government has offered wheat flour.
