The deceased have been identified as 19 and 27 year old residents of Ahungalla.
The bodies have been placed at the Thambuththegama Hospital morgue.
While returning from a pilgrimage to Anuradhapura on June 11, a group from the Ahungalla area had gone to a relative's house in the Kithsirigama area in Thambuththegama.
Several of the pilgrims had gone to bathe in the Kithsirigama salt lake while two of them had drowned.
Meanwhile, one of the two persons who went to bathe in a waterfall in the Udugamkanda, 6th pillar area in the Padukka Police Division yesterday (June 11) evening has drowned.
The deceased has been identified as Bope, 54, a resident of Padukka.
The body is being kept at the Padukka Hospital morgue for a post mortem while a magisterial inquiry is to be held into the incident.
Padukka police are conducting further investigations.
