Recently, MP Harshadha Silva had stated that there are many problems regarding the running of the Suwasariya ambulance service in the face of the huge economic crisis faced by the country.
He had said that there was a serious difficulty in procuring the medical equipment and medicines required for the Suwasariya ambulance service in particular.
It is reported that the Indian government has taken steps to provide the necessary medicines and medical equipment to the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka after the Member of Parliament informed the Indian Government that he needed help to maintain the health tour.
