According to the new manufacturer, Vikum, the process of producing electricity is done by turning a 7 kilowatt turbine based on the magnetic field generated by rotating the mercury under a temperature of about 300 degrees Celsius.
By now, he has managed to meet all the electricity needs of his home by using the electricity generated by the machine in question.
Wickum says that this new discovery has been made as a result of six years of mercury-related research, which can now generate 7 kilowatts of electricity.
Regarding the new product, Mr. Wikum Dimbulgasthanna explained as follows.
"Currently, things like water, oil, coal, diesel and petrol are used for the production of electricity. Other than water, other things decay. Even water decreases in dry season. Mercury is not a depleting metal.
Mercury should be applied only once. After that we have to reap the benefits. At present, we have not been able to provide continuous electricity supply. Due to fuel shortage, the country itself is in trouble. On the other hand, electricity charges are also going to be increased. If we produce electricity using mercury, we can continuously provide a unit of electricity to the people at a very low cost.
No country in the world has generated electricity using this method. If the western nations do not do something about this, if we sit in the mindset that we can do it, we are done. It is said that Ravana carried the peacock with mercury. These are things related to our culture. I light about 15 bulbs at home with the machine which is operated using a kilo of mercury. Television, washing machines are operated. All work in the industrial workplace is done with the help of electricity produced by mercury.
If this invention is developed further and work is done to strengthen the economic process of the country, we can get a permanent solution to our future energy crisis.
Pradeep Nishanka, Sarath Wickramasinghe, Kingsley Rajapaksa, R.M. Nandasena, K.P. Ratnasiri, Lasantha Kumara, Gamini Sanjeeva, Eranga Lakshita have provided technical support to Vikum. Vikum's hope is to hold a light offering for Sri Dalada Samindu of Nikini Maha, who is coming by using the new machine.
