The police say that the daughter who saved her life after falling into the well is currently being treated at the Elpitiya Basic Hospital.

The police say that this mother, who was worried about the problems at home, threw her daughter into the well this morning (19) and she also jumped into the well and was ready to take her own life.

The police say that the two school students, Chamika Lakshan and Roshan Kumara, who heard the child screaming in the well, jumped into the well and rescued the girl.

Police say that both these students are studying at Karandeniya Bandula Senadheera College.

The police say that the mother who threw Sigiti's daughter into the well was arrested on suspicion of murder.
