The support of the independent party alliance to Dallas

Wimal Weerawansa, the leader of the National Freedom Front, says that the support of the Independent Party Alliance will be given to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Member of Parliament, Dallas Alahapperum, in the parliamentary polls to elect the President.

The MP said this while attending a news conference held in Colombo today.

"All of us, the group of 16 MPs who are together in our parties, will use our votes tomorrow for the victory of the presidential candidate, Dallas Alahapperuma. We will definitely win that victory."

Mr. Weerawansa expressed his thanks to the opposition leader for his decision to think of the public rather than his personal desire to become a president.

"This is a regime that will eliminate all the insecure feelings and moods of the millions of people in this country. This is a regime that can be eliminated. Similarly, this is going to establish a government that listens to the aspirations of those young fighters in the mouth of Galle, and takes their opinions into consideration. It is not a country that progresses through conflicts. This will create a country that moves forward with friendship and unity. So touch that blessing.

Tomorrow is a day when all intelligent people's representatives can eliminate the gloomy attitude towards 225 in Parliament. Tomorrow is the day when the all-party national agreement will be formed, contribute to the creation of that all-party government of various colors, and contribute to removing the dark picture of that 225 itself. Therefore, the group of 16 MPs who are in the unity of all our parties will use our votes tomorrow for the victory of the presidential candidate Dallas Alahapperuma. We know that victory is definitely certain."
