15-year-old boy dies after falling into deep pit

A boy has died after falling into a deep ditch while bathing in the Second Breach River in the Arugamba area in Pottuvil.

The deceased has been identified as a 15-year-old resident of Kastapa Road, Pottuvil.

An autopsy was conducted and the body was handed over to relatives.

Police said the child fell into a deep pool while swimming with his parents and relatives.

Pottuvil police are conducting further investigations.
