A 1 1/2 year old boy who was in a house in the Karandibokkuwa area in Kilinochchi has fallen into a canal near his house and died.
Police stated that the incident took place on the evening of June 4 and that the deceased was a resident of Karadibokkuwa, Kilinochchi.
The body has been placed at the Kilinochchi Hospital morgue.
Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations.
