The Postal Department has taken steps to suspend the acceptance of postal items sent by air to Russia.
Post Master General Ranjith Ariyaratne stated that the suspension of flights between Russia and Sri Lanka has hampered the delivery of postal goods.
He said the move was taken with that in mind.
However, he added that steps would be taken to resume postal shipments once flights between the two countries were restored.
