The Coordinating Secretary to the former Prime Minister who was arrested in connection with the May 9 violence in Galle Face and the Kollupitiya area has been remanded till June 08.
Police said he was remanded for an identification parade after being produced before the Fort Magistrate's Court today.
The suspect is a 53 year old resident of Annapitiya Road, Tangalle.
The suspect was arrested by the CID this morning (June 6), police said.
