Nishan Chandima Abeywardena, Chief Controller of Air Traffic, Katunayake Airport, has taken steps to board the Aeroflot flight from Katunayake Airport to Moscow, Russia before 06.00 pm today (June 6).
That this action has been taken as per the order issued by the Colombo Commercial High Court to the Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Limited.
The Colombo Commercial High Court has ordered the suspension of an enjoining order restraining an Aeroflot flight from leaving Sri Lanka on June 2.
The order was issued by Colombo Commercial High Court Judge Harsha Sethunga after considering the monsoon petitions filed by the Attorney General.
An enjoining order was issued on June 2 preventing Aeroflot from taking off from Katunayake Airport.
