New chairpersons and new board members have been appointed to the state broadcasters.


Relevant appointments have been made by the Minister of Mass Media and Information, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.


Accordingly, Asanka Priyanath Jayasuriya has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Rupavahini Corporation, Chartered Accountant Ganaka Amarasinghe has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Independent Television Network and Hudson Samarasinghe has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.


Also on the Board of Directors of the Rupavahini Corporation are Prof. Chaminda Ratnayake, Prof.D. M. Ajith Dissanayake and Rakhitha Abeygunawardena, Attorney-at-Law.


Lalith Piyum Perera, Attorney-at-Law, Maheshwari Mahimadas, Lecturers, Ravindra Guruge, Indika Liyanahewage and Hasantha Hettiarachchi have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Independent Television Network.

 

In addition, the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation consists of Prof. Ven. Magammana Pagnananda Thero, Priyantha K. Ratnayake, J .; Yogaraj and M. Sisira Kumara has been appointed.
