The working week of the Department of Labor is about 4 days


The head office of the Department of Labor and all regional offices will be closed every Friday of the week from tomorrow (May 3), Labor Commissioner General B.K. Says Prabhath Chandrakeerthi.


The Department of Government Information said in a statement that the move was in line with the Public Administration Circular issued to restrict the calling of staff of public institutions to reduce government expenditure due to the shortage of resources.


Therefore, the Director General urges the public to refrain from visiting the Head Office or Regional Offices on Friday to obtain clients' services.
