Wattala shooting

A man was shot dead by a motorcyclist on the Hendala Road in Elakanda, Wattala at around 12.15 pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said that the victim had died on admission to the Ragama Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as a 23 year old resident of the Mattakkuliya Elephant Estate area.

Nihal Thalduwa further stated that the police suspect that the shooting was carried out with a T56 firearm.
