The deceased has been identified as a 31 year old resident of Badalgama.
A post-mortem examination is to be conducted on the body.
The suspect has been arrested and is due to be produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court today (June 14).
The deceased had gone to the vehicle service provider where the suspect was working with several of his friends and got into an argument due to an old dispute.
At that moment, the victim had prepared to hit the suspect with a stick and the suspect had stabbed him.
He succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Akaragama Hospital.
Badalgama Police are conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile, a woman was found dead inside a house in the Kahagolla area in Diyatalawa.
Police have found the woman dead suspiciously while her husband and two children were not at home.
The body is being kept at the Diyatalawa Hospital for a post mortem after a magisterial inquiry.
Diyatalawa Police are conducting further investigations.
